I fell for the full romance of the Wild West à la Chanel: The rich layers of lace on this Victorian-inspired gown are a perfect contrast to its tiered, tattered hemline, as are the desert-hued blanket shawl, studded belt, medallion-embellished handbag and tough brown boot.

This Polo Ralph Lauren look from the fall 2014 runway is pretty close to my go-to cold-weather uniform. You can't go wrong with distressed skinny jeans and kick-ass boots, but this season I'll be adding a cozy and covetable Burberry poncho to the mix for extra warmth and style.

The classics are back, and there's nothing ironic about them. Even Valentino — a brand synonymous with sparkly tulle confections — pared it down. As a super femme fashion die-hard, I tackled normcore by mixing in other key trends: This powder-blue crop top and cheery red miniskirt are basic, for sure, but the fresh color combo and mod silhouette paired with a chic clutch and penny loafer is modern-day Jane Birkin.

For those of you who haven't heard of normcore, get ready to shop your closet 10-plus years ago, or start all over again by picking almost anything from Tibi's fall 2014 collection. Super-basic fashion pieces that wouldn't be out of place in most moms' closets might seem boring to most people, but to someone like myself, who doesn't feel the need to try every crazy trend out there, it's a breath of fresh (albeitrecycled) air.

Fantasy reigned the fall runways, including Delpozo's dreamy frocks. I paired this floral ASOS dress with a mint, tea-length tutu; the length of the latter makes the look modern, while the leafy tiara, jeweled heirloom-inspired handbag and lace pump are a playful and decadent way to work my own "Game of Thrones" princess vibe.

The fall 2014 Tory Burch runway was pure medieval times — causing not only my eyes to expand with glee, but my fall wish list, too. So many items to be added, from a bejeweled sheath and matching bomber to a fur muff and single-cross earrings. The list goes on of items worthy of the "Game of Thrones" dames and, of course, my closet.
