A pregnant car thief who gave police the slip Friday evening in Brooklyn is back in custody, officials confirmed Saturday.
Cops caught up to Carmen Riley, 30, around 7 p.m. Saturday near Nichols and Jamaica avenues in Cypress Hills just over 24 hours after she escaped their watch at Brookdale Hospital.
Riley, who is four months pregnant, was pulled over at about 2 p.m. Friday after police spotted her driving on Atlantic Avenue without a seatbelt, authorities said.
Officers arrested Riley after figuring out the car was a rental she was supposed to have returned in January.
While in custody, she claimed she wasn't feeling well, and cops brought her to the hospital.
Sources said the mom-to-be convinced the police to uncuff her so she could use the bathroom, then lammed it.
Additional charges against Riley, who was originally arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operator, are pending.
