This Friday, at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST, Netflix will release thirteen episodes of the new comedy series from Tina Fey, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Starring Ellie Kemper (The Office, Bridesmaids) in the title role, the series follows Kimmy, a recently rescued doomsday cult member who's spent the last fifteen years of her life in an underground bunker. After making the interview rounds as a free woman, and explaining her days as a "Mole Woman" to Matt Lauer on Today, Kimmy decides the Big Apple is where she wants to start her life anew. Ah, don't we all.
If you miss 30 Rock, you're in for a treat. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has the same Tina Fey flair with an extra dose of kookiness and features some fun alumni, including Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski who star as Kimmy's roommate and boss, respectively. In an effort to catch up on the last fifteen years, Kimmy must use the knowledge she already has to help break her into the world of today, which means making practical use of the morals within the pages of her favorite Baby Sitters Club book and channeling her responsible side from when she had a pet Tamagotchi.
