A man was fatally shot Thursday morning in The Bronx, part of a bloody start to 2015 that also included a second shooting and a stabbing, authorities said.
Herb Huntley, 26, was gunned down in the lobby of an apartment building on Westchester Avenue in Melrose shortly before 3 a.m., according to police.
Huntley was found unresponsive in the building in the St. Mary's Park housing development with gunshot wounds to his head and torso, cops said.
First responders rushed Huntley, who lived in the nearby Adams Houses, to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators did not immediately identify a suspect or motive in what officials confirmed was the first murder of 2015.
Less than 90 minutes earlier, two men were shot in a botched robbery at a Staten Island bagel joint, authorities said.

A pair of masked crooks burst into Hot Bagels on Arthur Kill Road in Arden Heights at 1:30 a.m., and demanded cash from the workers, cops said.
During the hold-up, the bandits lost their nerve and shot the men, both 30, and fled empty-handed in a sedan, according to police.
The workers, shot in the shoulder and chest, respectively, are in stable condition at Staten Island University Hospital – North.
Officials also said a man was stabbed in Brooklyn early Thursday morning.
The victim, whose age was not immediately known, was knifed on Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant just before 5:15 a.m., authorities said.
The man was taken to Kings County Hospital, though his condition and the circumstances of the attack were not immediately clear.
