An aspiring cop was killed and another man left in critical condition during a bloody brawl with baseball bats and guns outside a Bronx club early Sunday, police said.
"He was going to go to college. He wanted to be a police officer,'' weeping Danely Merejo, 31, told The Post about her dead brother, Dennis Rodriguez, 24.

Rodriguez's aunt, Matilda Torres, 45, added that cops told the family "a car drove up and just started shooting. Everybody was running, and one of the bullets hit him."
The bloodshed occurred when one group of men outside the Xtreme Lounge on Valentine Avenue near Fordham Road ambushed another couple of guys as they left around 3:50 a.m., cops said.
It's unclear what the beef was or whether Rodriguez was an intended target. The fight appears to have started inside the club, sources said.
At least one attacker used a baseball bat, while another slashed victims and a third fired a gun, according to police.
Rodriguez of East 137th Street was shot in the torso and rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the head and is in critical condition at the same hospital.
The other victims included a 21-year-old man shot in the leg, a 23-year-old man slashed in the torso, and a 22-year-old man cut in the face.
A 26-year-old man who has been arrested nine times, mostly for robbery and drugs, also was beaten in the head and chest with a baseball bat, law-enforcement sources said.
Those four victims are in stable condition at St. Barnabas.
Neighbors said they are tired of violence at the club.
"I worry about having to move out of the area, especially after a catastrophe like this," said Tejan Barrie, who lives next door.
"People were saying, 'Look at the blood over here.' It's crazy."
A superintendent of a nearby building said there's often trouble outside the club around its 4 a.m. closing time.
"Every Saturday, there's a fight," he said. "Nobody likes that place. It's very dangerous. It never stops."
