Manuel Rosario, 80, of East 139th Street, was robbed and beaten on Sept. 1 by Jason Rivera, 27, who lived a block away at East 140th Street, according to police.

Rosario was rushed to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition with blunt- force trauma to his head and body, authorities said.
