They're teamed up for life.
On Sunday at Citi Field, a Mets fan from The Bronx met the Chicago Cubs rooter whose life he saved through a bone-marrow transplant.
"I've been waiting to meet him for two years now . . . It's overwhelming but incredible," said donor Jason Saibel, 26, of Morris Park. "It's not really real until something like this, until you get to see his kids and hug them."
Bone marrow recipient Dave Kellen, 54, of Chicago, was equally emotional about meeting his lifesaver for the first time.
"I'm extremely grateful. He's family now — it's that type of feeling," Kellen said.
Kellen's wife, Hyla, hugged Saibel as the families met in a Citi Field suite before the Mets-Cubs match-up and kept repeating, "Thank you, you gave him a second chance to be a father.
"Last week, [Dave] got to go to his daughter's college graduation. Hopefully, he will be able to go to their weddings and everything," his teary-eyed wife said, referring to their three children, ages 16 to 26.
The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation and the Mets arranged the meeting at the ballpark.
Dave Kellen was diagnosed with leukemia and received Saibel's healthy donated marrow in July 2012.
"It's been two years, and I would say I'm 90 percent of what I was before," Kellen said.
"I feel wonderful."
