A man, with a warrant out for his arrest, went for a joyride with two pals in Flatbush and crashed his BMW into a garbage truck — killing his pal, cops said.
The 19-year-old man, who is believed to have been drinking, was headed southbound on Utica Avenue near Avenue D at 1:40 a.m. when he plowed into the private garbage truck, cops said.
At the time of the accident, the truck had just made a left onto Utica Avenue, cops said.
The driver of the garbage truck was not injured, cops said.
The 22-year-old passenger from the BMW was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he later died, cops said.
His identity is being withheld pending proper family notification.
The second passenger is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Kings County Hospital.
The driver of the BMW suffered several fractures and was being treated at Brookdale Hospital, cops said.
Police didn't immediately know what the open warrant was for and said that charges against the driver are pending.
