A 20-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for savagely beating a 68-year-old grandfather to death in the East Village, cops said.

Jamie Pugh was captured on surveillance video slamming Wen Hui Ruan into a wall in front of 745 E. Sixth St. at about 8:45 p.m. Friday and then punching and kicking him in the head on the ground, police said.

Wen died from his injuries Saturday at Bellevue Hospital.

Pugh was charged Tuesday night with murder and attempted robbery.
