A motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into the back of a van in The Bronx Sunday, authorities said.

The 24-year-old man was riding a 2005 Yamaha on the Major Deegan Expressway in Kingsbridge at around 10:30 a.m. when he hit the rear bumper of a 2006 Mazda van, cops said.

He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

After three years of dating, Jeter and Minka Kelly split up. The two had been rumored to be engaged, but the 37-year old Jeter and the 31-year old model/actress instead have an amicable breakup.

Astorino to send cease-and-desist letters to block Cuomo ads

A furious Rob Astorino, contending that Gov. Cuomo has unleashed "the dirtiest and lowest campaign probably in the history of New York'' against him, will send "cease-and-desist letters" Monday to TV stations to halt new Cuomo ads accusing him of "racketeering and fraud."

"The only way Cuomo knows how to play is filthy . . . $10 million in negative ads against me,'' Astorino, the financially hard-pressed Republican gubernatorial hopeful and Westchester County executive, told The Post Sunday in an exclusive interview.

"These charges come from a baseless civil lawsuit from the same people who were being investigated by the Moreland Commission that the governor shut down, and they'll be thrown out by the federal court as soon as it gets there.''

Cuomo's new commercial, considered even by some Democrats as unusually vicious, ominously begins, "The Rob Astorino story: racketeering, conspiracy, fraud.

"Astorino is being sued for federal racketeering for conspiring with a family and accomplices to rig his election through election fraud.''

What the ad doesn't say is that the lawsuit was brought by one of Astorino's longtime political foes, the leader of the Westchester County Independence Party, the parent party of which has endorsed Cuomo.

Astorino, a former broadcasting executive, said Federal Communications Commission requirements oblige television stations to fact-check political advertising — and he said the Cuomo commercials wouldn't stand up to the scrutiny the "cease-and-desist letters'' will require.

Astorino, meanwhile, revealed that he would soon begin running his own TV campaign to counter Cuomo's attacks in two weeks.

"We're ready to begin the fight,'' Astorino said.

Three recent public-opinion polls have shown Astorino trailing Cuomo by 30 or more percentage points. In addition, Cuomo last month reported having a war chest 14 times larger than Astorino's — $35 million to $2.5 million.

Astorino's plan to unleash his own commercials comes as a growing number of Republican activists fear that Cuomo's heavily funded TV attacks are putting a permanent negative stamp on their candidate.

"It's almost Labor Day and he hasn't moved in the polls, while the general public is seeing more and more of the Cuomo attack ads and not very much from Rob,'' said one of the state's best-known GOP leaders.

Some important Democrats are contending that Cuomo's apparent decision against debating Zephyr Teachout, the leftist Fordham Law professor who beat the governor in court twice to win a spot on the Sept. 9 primary ballot, will damage his reputation nationally.

"Cuomo has no future out of Albany if he doesn't show the fortitude to stand up and speak publicly against some random liberal professor about what he's done,'' said a prominent Democratic operative.

Many top Democrats predict Cuomo won't debate Teachout because he: (1) doesn't want to raise her public profile; (2) doesn't want to risk making a gaffe; and (3) doesn't want to answer questions about US Attorney Preet Bharara's investigation into the Moreland Commission scandal.

Whatever Cuomo does decide, there will be a debate before the primary. It just won't be between Democrats.

Astorino and Teachout agreed over the weekend to hold a debate of their own on public radio on Sept. 4.

Death isn’t pretty on ‘Pretty Little Liars’

Alison DiLaurentis' mysterious disappearance has been at the center of "Pretty Little Liars" from the beginning, and after four seasons in hiding, the former queen bee returned in Season 5 — shaking up the dynamic of the Liars (Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer) on this long-running ABC Family drama.

"We were all excited about it, especially the writers, because it could restart the show in a way," star Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison, tells The Post. "Alison came in like a tornado and shook up the whole town — not just the girls. She's created a ripple through everyone and brought back bad memories.

"The girls are adjusting to a fifth person and there's still that rivalry between Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Alison. It's just a really difficult adjustment and Alison deals with things in a really different way. It's not always the best way, but she's just trying to survive."

In "Pretty Little Liars'" summer finale (Tuesday at 8 p.m.), viewers will get to see a completely different side of her, though Pieterse teases that "people are not necessarily really going to like Alison" in coming episodes.

"There's a lot of mistrust and misunderstandings," she says. "Alison feels betrayed and so do the girls in certain ways. Basically there's just a lot of trouble. The girls don't feel safe but neither does Alison and because of Alison's nature, there's repercussions from that always."

Last week's episode saw the PLLs turn their backs on Alison as her suspicious activities made them question whether she is the real "A" that has been terrorizing them since the start of the series. With her friendships breaking, Alison begins to build up her own army.

"She's always been able to build a little bubble around her, that's really the only thing that she knows how to do — try and protect herself — so that's basically exactly what she does," Pieterse says.

In fact everyone in the town of Rosewood is in danger as "PLL" has teased Tuesday's episode "Taking This One to the Grave" will be a "fatal finale." While the show has killed off parents and supporting characters before, Pieterse says the latest victim is very different.

"I was genuinely surprised that this is who they chose," she says. "It's going to be really interesting to see how fans react to it…. I don't know if they're going to be unhappy about it, but they're definitely going to be shocked."

The social media savvy series is known for setting Twitter records with its O-M-G finales; last summer's ender, which prompted 1.9 million Tweets, was the most-tweeted series telecast in TV history and Pieterse predicts Tuesday's shocking death will have a similar Twitter-busting effect

"This will definitely do it," she says.

Go-Topless Day ‘the best Sunday ever’

New Yorkers ditched their shirts and joined people around the world Sunday in celebration of International Go-Topless Day.

Around 200 bare-chested men and women chanted "Free your Breasts! Free your mind!" as they proudly marched from Columbus Circle down to Times Square and over to Bryant Park in the name of equality.

"We are lucky to be here and to be able to be topless," Judith Sherwood, 36, told The Post. "We are here to support the women in states where it is illegal to go topless and breast-feed in public."

Go-Topless Day falls on the Sunday before Women's Equality Day, which is on Aug. 26. About a week before that date, in 1920, women earned the right to legally vote with the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which prohibits voter discrimination on the basis of sex — something 17-year-old Connecticut resident Grace DiChristina says is the ultimate reason for traipsing topless through the city streets.

"This is about equality and body image," she said Sunday.

GoTopless.org fights to ensure women have the same constitutional right as men to go topless in public, according to its Web site.

The topless-and-proud patrons weren't afraid to speak their minds.

"I developed my breasts in second grade, believe it or not, and I was really ashamed for a long time," said Brooklyn resident Maggie Sawyer Bawrick. "It feels wonderful to have them out and free and feel comfortable and supported."

And indeed, men were very supportive of the event.

"I love this!" Tom Parks, 27, told The Post. "This is great!"

"This is the best Sunday ever!" said Jose Ruiz, 34.

PlayStation Network back online after cyber attack, bomb scare

Sony Corp's PlayStation Network was back online on Monday following a cyber attack that took it down over the weekend, which coincided with a bomb scare on a commercial flight carrying a top Sony executive in the United States.

Sony said on its PlayStation blog that its PlayStation network had been taken down by a denial of service-style attack, which overwhelmed the system with traffic, but did not intrude onto the network or access any of its 53 million users' information.

A Twitter user with the handle @LizardSquad claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday, and said the attack was meant to pressure Sony to spend more of its profits on the network.

"Sony, yet another large company, but they aren't spending the waves of cash they obtain on their customers' (PlayStation Network) service. End the greed," one post said on Sunday.

Sony's network business has been hit by attacks before, with a security breach in 2011 dealing a major blow to plans at the time for a looser network designed to allow for the connection of a range of Sony devices.

Since then it has invested heavily in the system and is now hoping the network can serve as a centrepiece of its plans to rebuild its business after years of losses in its flagship electronics operations.

Lizard Squad said it had also targeted the servers of World of Warcraft video gamemakers Blizzard Entertainment, whose website was down. It threatened to attack Microsoft Corp's Xbox Live network, to which some users said they had problems accessing on Sunday.

"We don't comment on the root cause of a specific issue, but as you can see on Xbox.com/status, the core Xbox LIVE services are up and running," Xbox spokesman David Dennis told Reuters.

Blizzard Entertainment was not immediately reachable for comment, though its customer support Twitter account said the company's servers were stabilising.

Bomb scare

Lizard Squad also tweeted to American Airlines on Sunday to say they had heard that explosives were on board a flight carrying Sony Online Entertainment President John Smedley.

That followed an earlier tweet from a game player's forum telling the airline: "I'm gonna send a bomb on your plane be ready for me tomorrow".

A PlayStation spokeswoman in the United States said the FBI was investigating the diversion of the Dallas/Fort Worth to San Diego flight.

The FBI had no comment on the incident.

American Airlines said on its Twitter account that it was "aware of threats" made over the microblogging service and had alerted security.

Family of five dies in tragic car accident

An entire Brooklyn family was killed in a devastating car accident late Saturday night when their vehicle swerved off a Long Island highway and plowed into a tree.

Myriam Lebraun, 37, was driving home with her kids from a family get-together at around 11 p.m. when she veered off the Southern State Parkway and crashed, and the car burst into flames, State Police said.

Lebraun, her mother, Yolande Moise, 68, and children, Marcus Gean­ty, 14, Marcel Gean­ty, 9, and Kayla Gean­ty, 8, were all pronounced dead at the scene.

"Why? Why? Why?" wailed the kids' devastated grandfather, Geane Robert Lebraun, outside their Flatbush home.

"They are already dead. What can I do but try to survive? I saw them two weeks ago. I talked with my daughter, played with the children. Right now, I'm going over to mourn [with] what's left of my family."

The youngest victim, Kayla, was ejected. The four others were trapped in the fire, officials said.

"All of them! My God! I can't believe all her children are gone!" said Marlene Thomas, 38, a neighbor and friend of the family.

"We live together, go out together, cook together. My daughter plays with Kayla every day! I can't believe this."

Neighbors said the family was coming from a visit to their aunt in Babylon.

It was not clear Sunday what made the car swerve off the highway.

Myriam Lebraun moved to the United States from Haiti when she was 17.

She recently graduated from Kingsborough Community College and was a social worker.

She was divorced, and the children's father lives in Georgia.

UK Embassy apologizes for tweet about setting White House on fire

The British Embassy in Washington, DC, mocked the United States on Twitter Sunday by joking about setting fire to the White House.

The account @UKinUSA sent out a picture of a White House-shaped cake and the message, "Commemorating the 200th anniversary of burning the White House. Only sparklers this time!" — referencing the attack during the War of 1812. An apology followed.

A US State Department spokeswoman tweeted back saying, "The difference 200 years can make in foreign relations: 8/24/1814: #ItsComplicated vs 8/24/2014: #SpecialRelationship."
