We may have missed out on Mani Cam obscenities at this year's Oscars, but the red carpet was still rife with surprises.

The Good:
Dakota Johnson turned up the heat

Limp personality aside, Johnson killed it in this Saint Laurent dress. The knotted crystal strap alone deserves a spot on this list. Extra points for the DGAF ponytail.
Marion Cotillard, couture beetle

Either you love this or you hate it. We happen to find a futuristic robe à la française refreshing. And though Cotillard could stand to take a break from Christian Dior Couture, all was assuaged when she pronounced it on the red carpet:
