Two Palestinians accused of abducting and murdering three Jewish boys last summer were killed early Tuesday by Israeli forces in a shootout at a house in the West Bank.
The men were gunned down during a predawn raid by members of the Israeli Defense Forces on the home in Hebron where they were holed up, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Soldiers surrounded the hideout and exchanged gunfire with Marwan Kawasme and Amer Abu Aysha.
The three murdered youths — Gilad Shaar, 16, Eyal Yifrah, 19, and Naftali Frankel, 16 — were abducted as they hitchhiked on June 12. Frankel had relatives in Brooklyn.

Their bodies were found more than two weeks later.
The suspected mastermind behind the abductions was arrested in July and indicted in an Israeli military court. But the two main suspects, who allegedly abducted and killed the teens, had remained fugitives until Tuesday.
The West Bank abductions came at a time when Israeli-Palestinian tensions were already running high.
In August, a senior Hamas official admitted that the organization's militant wing was behind the kidnappings.
Saleh al-Arouri said that the operation was carried out by the military wing "to aid their brothers on hunger strike in [Israeli] prisons."
In the weeks after the kidnappings, Mohammed Abu Khudair, a 16-year-old Palestinian teen living in Jerusalem, was abducted and killed by Jewish extremists, prosecutors say.
The incidents help spark a tinderbox of tensions, setting off a seven-week war between Israel and the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
