The trees are leaning, leaning … and then they're gone.
A Louisiana sinkhole swallowed a group of trees in a matter of seconds Wednesday, pulling down the trees as water swirled.
An official in Assumption Parish, a town in the southern part of the state, captured video of the incident. According to the Advocate, the sinkhole has been growing for a year now – and is about 25 acres in size.
The sinkhole, caused by a collapsed underground salt dome, had previously claimed nearby trees and property. But this sort of sinkhole activity isn't normally caught on video.
