Boston will reopen the marathon bomb site on a limited basis today, the mayor's officer said in a statement.
Mayor Thomas Menino announced last night a staggered schedule for businesses and residents to return to the blast site, WHDH reported.
The street is scheduled to open in one-hour increments over the course of today:
- 10:00: Block between Hereford and Gloucester
- 11:00: Block between Gloucester and Fairfield
- 12:00: Block between Dartmouth and Clarendon
- 1:00: Block between Clarendon and Berkeley
- 2:00: Block between Exeter and Dartmouth
- 3:00: Block between Fairfield and Exeter
The mayor's office told owners and residents to check in at the Hynes Convention Center where they will then be escorted to their stores by city staffers.
While the devastated area will begin to return normal today, the scene will still be closed to the general public.
