CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Authorities are expected to reveal more details about the weekend discovery of human remains in a Massachusetts neighborhood when a suspect appears in court on related charges.
The suspect, whose name hasn't been released, is being arraigned Monday morning in Cambridge District Court. The charges are accessory after the fact to assault and battery causing bodily injury and improper disposal of human remains.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan says the remains are believed to be those of a single victim whose death is considered a homicide. The victim's name hasn't been released.
Remains first were found in a discarded duffel bag outside a Biogen Inc. building Saturday morning. More were found in an apartment building across the street.
The area is near Kendall Square and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
