One Direction's Zayne Malik has had enough of the spotlight.
News of the 22-year-old British heartthrob taking a break from the group's Asian leg of their world tour due to "stress" hit the internet Thursday.
"Zayne is exhausted and just needs a break," a source told People. "Out of every one of the boys, he's the one who struggles dealing with being in the spotlight the most. He can't cope with the level of scrutiny he gets put under. He's just 22."
Things began to boil over when photos of Malik with a fan sparked rumors that he's cheating on his fiancée, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, a source added. "He's had enough of the constant craziness."
In an effort to cool things down, Zayne defended himself on Twitter saying, "I love my girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f—s in t his world I'm sorry for what it looks like."
Zayne's sister, Safaa, assured worried fans that the singer will be alright in time. "All the stress has just gotten to him because of the rumours and hatred he has heard and received, it's really hurting him, some people are just giving him to much."
"Please pray for my brother, please help him because I know he will be okay please stop sending him hate and getting on him for what he has 'did,'" she concluded.
