Passenger in train crash to sue Metro North, NY

A passenger injured in the deadliest crash in Metro-North history has filed notice that he will sue the railroad, state and MTA for $10 million.

Michael Colquhoun, 54, was seated in the third car of the train that collided with an SUV stuck on the tracks in Valhalla on Feb. 3.

The SUV driver and five passengers in the first train car were killed. More than a dozen others suffered injuries.

Colquhoun is the first to file a claim as a result of the accident, which he says left him with shoulder pain and nerve damage, as well as post-traumatic stress and fear of impending death.

The MTA declined to comment.
