David Crosby struck a joggger while driving 55 mph on Sunday.
The 73-year-old folk-rock singer was in his 2015 black Tesla in Santa Ynez, Calif., when he was blinded by sunlight and hit the man with his vehicle, reports local TV station KEYT.
The jogger is identified as 46-year-old Jose Jimenez, who suffered several fractures and lacerations from the incident.
Although his injuries were not life threatening, he was airlifted to a nearby hospital in Santa Barbara.
Crosby, who according to authorities was not drinking or under the influence of drugs, was not injured.
"David Crosby is obviously very upset that he accidentally hit anyone," read a statement from the singer's publicist given to USA Today. "And based off of initial reports, he is relived that the injuries to the gentleman were not life threatening. He wishes the jogger a very speedy recovery."
A request for comment from Crosby's rep was not immediately returned.
