The hard-partying cop behind the wheel in a wrong-way crash that killed two of his pals on Staten Island also wrecked his luxury car the year before, according to friends and neighbors.
"I've seen him come home many times late, obnoxious with his friends," a neighbor of New Jersey police officer Pedro Abad Jr. told The Post. "He used to drive a BMW. He crashed it and wrecked it."

The Linden Police officer was lucky enough to walk away from that accident last year with only minor injuries, a friend said.
Abad, 27, was clinging to his life while hooked to a breathing machine at Richmond University Medical Center on Saturday after he slammed his Honda Civic into a big rig on the way home from guzzling whiskey and partying with strippers Friday, sources said.
The wild night appeared nothing new for the Linden police officer — who boasted about drinking, drugs and hookers on social media for months before the accident.
"You think you have problems? I just dropped my cocaine in the snow," he tweeted in February.
And in December, he proclaimed, "If prostitutes were up and around in the morning, think they'd have matinee prices? It's only fair."
And on Twitter in April he wrote, "Every time I go out. How do I wake up naked?" along with shots of booze.
His fatal flub — in which cops say he drove for a mile the wrong way on the West Shore Expressway — left Linden police officer Frank Viggiano, 28, and friend Joseph Rodriguez, 28, dead.

A fourth pal, Patrick Kudlac, 23, was in critical condition Saturday at Staten Island University Hospital.
Meanwhile, a school-bus driver who may have been last to see the tragic cops before the crash said he's haunted by the accident.
"I saw a black vehicle coming against traffic. I was like, 'Wow— what are these people doing?' " said Jimmy Ramush, 54, who was headed to work on the West Shore Expressway at around 4:45 a.m.
"I slowed down and pulled up and signaled them with my lights. I wish I could I have done something more — but, unfortunately, I couldn't," he said.
Investigators applied for a warrant to test Abad's blood-alcohol level but a New York Police Department spokesman said Saturday that he didn't know if the warrant had been approved.
