City cop and teacher busted in separate assaults

An off-duty city cop and a public-school teacher were busted for assault in separate incidents Sunday morning, police said.

Oscar Alvarez Pacheco, a 36-year-old NYPD officer, was arrested after punching a woman at about 10:30 a.m. in the Sunnyside section of Queens, sources said.

Pacheco joined the department in 2012 and works out of the 69th Precinct in Canarsie, Brooklyn, police said.

At around the same time, Raymond Hastings, 42, a city teacher, was arrested after a domestic dispute with a woman, sources said.

Hastings also was charged with criminal mischief for attempting to a hide the victim's cell phone to prevent her from calling 911, sources added.
