1. Skyscraper Live: with Nik Wallenda
Sunday, 7 p.m., Discovery
Nik Wallenda is not afraid of heights, God knows. Last year, the professional daredevil walked across one of the more narrow parts of the Grand Canyon on a tightrope, with the wind blowing! It was an amazing feat.
How do you top that? Wallenda wanted to do another high-wire act, this time in New York. That hasn't materialized, so he went to Chicago, and he will walk between two skyscrapers, 600 feet above the ground, while wearing a blindfold. This is a live event.
2. Gotham
Monday, 8 p.m., Fox
As the violence between the gangsters Maroni (David Zayas) and Falcone (John Doman) continues to escalate in Gotham, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) reveals a new component of his manipulative strategy, forcing Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to deal with the consequences of his decision to spare his life. Co-starring Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney.
3. Scandal

Meanwhile, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) continues to play with fire, Mellie (Bellamy Young) makes a power move and Elizabeth's (Portia de Rossi) shocking alliance is revealed.
4. The Affair
Sunday, 10 p.m., Showtime
In order to spend time together apart from their families, Noah (Dominic West) and Alison (Ruth Wilson) take a day trip to Block Island. They see the famous lighthouse and try to get around the fact that they are contemplating doing something wrong.
"We don't know anything about each other," he says. Her answer? "Let's keep it that way." And: "You'll be sorry you ever met me."
Danger: heartbreak dead ahead. This episode features gorgeous photography of Block Island.
5. The Blacklist
Monday, 10 p.m., NBC
When an Iranian nuclear scientist is assassinated, a revenge plot begins against a valued American citizen.
Red (James Spader) informs agents Keen (Megan Boone) and Navabi (Mozhan Marno) that a dangerously conniving hitman, "The Scimitar," (guest star Waleed F. Zuaiter) has been sent to the job.
Meanwhile, Keen, who is attempting to gather information on Berlin (Peter Stormare), also joins Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) in investigating a surveillance lead with thorny implications. Red finds company with a woman working at a food truck.
6. Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Sunday, 8:30 p.m., Fox
There's a mole at Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) and Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) need to find out who it is before Deputy Chief Madeline Wuntch (guest star Kyra Sedgwick of "The Closer") gets wind of it.
Meanwhile, Terry (Terry Crews) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) visit a "silent" disco to uncover new leads for their new drug task force. Co-starring Joe LoTruglio and Melissa Fumero.
7. Olive Kitteridge
Sunday and Monday, 9 p.m., HBO
Olive Kitteridge is a piece of work. Gruff to the point of rudeness, she casts a pitiless gaze on her neighbors in Crosby, Maine, and does not adapt to changing times or morality.
Based on the novel by Elizabeth Strout — it won the Pulitzer — the four-part series stars Frances McDormand as Olive and Richard Jenkins as her long-suffering husband, Henry.
In the first of two parts, Olive helps Kevin, a smart but timid student whose mom suffers from depression, a gesture that annoys her son, Christopher (John Gallagher Jr.).
Years later, the grown-up Kevin (Cory Michael Smith, "Gotham") returns to the area, and Olive ropes him into attending Christopher's wedding-rehearsal dinner.
8. MasterChef Junior
Tuesday, 8 p.m., Fox
Alexander Weiss, who won the first title of "MasterChef Junior," returns to the kitchen as a special guest for the show's new season.
Sixteen junior home cooks must prepare impressive dishes using Weiss' favorite ingredients, including pork chops, pork tenderloin, green apples, hazelnuts, Brussels sprouts, phyllo dough, fingerling potatoes, wild rice, whole grain mustard and artichoke.
Shouldn't be too hard, right? The winner of the challenge will select which of the judges' favorite proteins the remaining contestants will prepare in the elimination round.
