Tiger Woods opening ‘Sports and Dining Club’ in Florida

Tiger Woods is putting down his golf clubs and is trying his hand in the restaurant business.

The famed athlete, 38, is set to open his own eatery, "The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club," near his home in Jupiter, Florida.

"I envision a place where people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal," Woods told the Palm Beach Post in a statement. "I wanted to build it locally where I live and where I could help support the community."

Although design plans for the 5,900 square-foot restaurant aren't completed, Wood's new business venture will be given a "prime location" in a new entertainment complex in Jupiter. It will also feature valet service as well as outdoor seating.

The 11-time PGA Player of the Year says he's been seeking a space for his new restaurant, which is set to open in early 2015, for more than two years.

"I look forward to enjoying my restaurant as much as I hope the public will," said Woods.
