Sarah Jessica Parker is a real life Columbo!
The "Sex in the City" fashionista was taking a stroll down a West Village street last week when she spotted a check for $4,700 laying on the sidewalk — and conducted her own private investigation to find the owner of the check.
Instead of turning in the check to police, the former HBO actress hit up Google to track down it's recipient, TMZ reports.
Parker scoured the web to track down the payee and struck gold when she found a possible address for the person.
The mother of three went to the home but no one was there to here the good news. Parker plans to keep trying until she can finally give the person their lost payday.
