Sean Hayes engaged to longtime partner

Sean Hayes and his longtime partner Scott Icenogle are engaged.

Hayes' rep confirmed the engagement to E! News.

Hayes, 44, is best known for playing Jack McFarland on "Will & Grace" for eight seasons. He sparked rumors when he made several appearances wearing a ring on his left hand.

His rep told RumorFix on Monday, "Sean Hayes and Scott Icenogle have been together for eight years. They are not yet married but they have been engaged for quite some time."

According to Icenogle's Twitter page, he is a Los Angeles based music producer and composer. His music credits include Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man," Mary J. Blige's "Just Fine," the Black Eyed Peas' "My Humps," Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" and more.
