The Brooklyn thug who shot a TV production assistant in the chest after she gave him a hug was found guilty of attempted murder Wednesday.
"I thought, 'We're all from Brooklyn. Let's hug it out, then everything will be OK,' " Lourdes Guillen, 27, testified last week in the trial of Kenneth Brown, 30, who faces up to 25 years behind bars when he is sentenced.
Brown tangled with Guillen, who was an assistant on "The View" at the time, after she tried to stop him from bashing her cousin during a street dispute in April 2012 in Bushwick.
The hug seemed to work at first, but a short time later, Brown returned and shot her cousin.
"I don't give a f–k. I'll shoot you too, b—h!" Brown said when she pleaded with him to stop, and then shot her in the chest, Guillen testified.
Guillen, who has since moved to Atlanta to work for cable network HLN, got a "get well soon" shout-out from "The View" hosts Barbara Walters and Elizabeth Hasselbeck as she recovered in 2012.
