Cocaine could be the reason Charlie Sheen lost his cool during a visit to the dentist last Thursday.
The former "Two and Half Men" star, according to TMZ, went berserk on a dental technician after she placed a mask on his face for nitrous oxide. Sheen, 49, reportedly reacted by be waving his arms and ultimately hitting her.
A dentist and an oral surgeon, who were both present, almost got hurt. The dentist claims Sheen pulled out a knife and tried to attack him.
Sheen's bodyguard told the dentist that the star was high on rock cocaine during his procedure to remove an abscess.
The Los Angeles Police Department is looking into the incident. As a result, Sheen is being investigated for battery and felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities tell the site they want to interview both the dentist and Sheen before sending the case to the district attorney's office.
A request for comment was not immediately returned.
