4 men charged with terror offenses after London raids

LONDON — U.K. authorities have charged four people with terror offenses after a series of raids in London over the past two weeks.

The Metropolitan Police say the men were charged with preparing acts of terrorism between July 8 and Oct. 7.

The men were accused of taking an oath of allegiance to the Islamic State group, a banned organization, as well as using Google Street View to conduct reconnaissance of Shepherds Bush Police Station and White City Territorial Army Barracks, both in west London.

The four were identified as Tarik Hassane, 21; Suhaib Majeed, 20; Nyall Hamlett, 24; and Momen Motasim, 21.

A fifth man, Nathan Cuffy, 25, was charged with a firearms offense.

All five are set to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday.
