Khloé Kardashian and French Montana are ‘on a break’

Khloé Kardashian is taking a step back from her relationship with French Montana.

A source reveals to Us Weekly that Khloé, 30, needs her space at the moment. "They are on a break," revealed the insider. "The relationship got too heavy and Khloé needed to take a step back."

Another person familiar with the crumbling romance said the 29-year-old rapper (real name Karim Kharbouch) is simply too "needy" for the reality star. "It grated on her that he became so dependent on her," said the source.

To make matters worse, Khloé's family worried Montana was using her, reports the magazine. Kris Jenner "did not approve and told Khloé all the time," revealed the first source. Stepfather Bruce Jenner and older sister Kim also appeared "very skeptical" of the rapper's intentions.

For months, the pair seemed inseparable —even appearing in Montana's music video, "Don't Panic." They talked about their sex life with Angie Martinez in July and revealed they stopped having sex for Ramadan.

Perhaps signs of distress began to appear after Montana admitted to capitalizing on Khloé's fame in an interview with Billboard.

He later said his words were twisted around. "I'm not going to sit there and tell you that I capitalize on someone that obviously—If I'm with someone, I'm with them not for that reason," explained Montana. "You can't choose who you go on dates with, who you be with."
