Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, opted for a co-ed bachelor-bachelorette party on Sunday, reports People.
The bride and groom, 33 and 34, hosted about 40 people that included friends, family, and members of the bridal party.
And because it was such a family affair, all x-rated props and dirty jokes were checked at the door.
"It wasn't about being naughty," said one friend. "They just wanted a great night out with friends and family."
Simpson's friend and bridesmaid, Stephanie Terblanche, confirmed the couple didn't want the traditional party setup.
"Our group of friends is so close we just wanted to all be together," she said.
Simpson and Johnson are set to tie the knot on July 4.
