Prosecutors are scheduled to appear in a Suffolk County court Friday to seek an order of protection for the woman accusing an ex-Goldman Sachs banker of raping her last summer.
A "sloppy" District Attorney Thomas Spota didn't seek a protective order for the woman after the banker was arrested — because she lived in Ireland and was heading home.
Without a court order to keep the banker, Jason Lee, and any friend or crony away from the 20-year-old co-ed, a private eye hired by Lee's defense team recently tracked her down at her Ireland home — a visit that left the victim feeling harassed.
It was only after the victim, in a panic, reached out to the Suffolk prosecutor handling the case in recent weeks that Spota's office decided to seek the protective order.
Orders of protection are normally granted when a defendant is arraigned, said Linda Fairstein, former head of the Manhattan DA's sex crime unit.

"If one was never issued at the time of arraignment, that could be a little bit sloppy," said Fairstein.
Spota likely never dreamed that anybody would ever bother her there, Fairstein said.
Since May 12, Spota's office did not return about a dozen phone calls and emails seeking comment.
"It sounds like that confrontation was designed to discourage her with going through with this," Fairstein told The Post in a telephone interview Thursday.
"Telling her that if you go through with this case, you have problems."
Spota represents tony areas like East Hampton that will soon be filled with the moneyed elite for the start of the summer.
Lee, who had been on leave from Goldman (which he joined in 1998 and rose to be a managing director in convertible bonds) since his arrest, recently left the firm, sources said.
Goldman Sachs declined comment.

Last August, during a naked birthday romp at his secluded Clover Leaf Lane summer rental in East Hampton, the married 37-year-old Tribeca resident allegedly trapped the 20-year-old co-ed in his bathroom and raped her.
After cops arrived, he was found cowering in the back of a truck. He was arraigned the next month.
While Lee claims that the sex was consensual, a doctor for the DA said the woman's bruises were consistent with her claims.
Lee's trial, where he's facing as much as 25 years in prison, will probably start in the fall, according to a court source.
Lee faces charges for first-degree rape, sexual misconduct and third-degree assault, according to the indictment.
Lee's representatives, in a recent court appearance, denied their private eye harassed the woman.
Edward Burke Jr. and Andrew Lankler, who represent Lee, didn't return messages seeking comment on the case.
But some of his associates said they couldn't believe the charges.
Rene Duncan, a friend of his living in The Bronx who was at the party but isn't charged with any crimes, said the woman is "trying to take advantage" of Lee.
Duncan declined further comment.
"From what I read, it didn't strike me that it was consistent with his character," said David Rubin, a lawyer who was on the board with Lee of the charity Safe Space.
"He wasn't an overly aggressive Master of the Universe."
