A dermatologist whose face has been plastered on subway car ads for decades appears to need a skin doctor of his own.
A more recent photo of Dr. Jonathan Zizmor, 69, a quintessential New York mug, was unveiled on the Web, and the good doctor looks more like a crypt-keeper than the fresh-faced man who beams down at passengers.
The less recognizable Zizmor image went viral Friday and subway riders throughout the city expressed shock.
"That Zizmor is all of the mind explosions," one user tweeted. "All of them."
Zizmor's ads have been in subway cars going back to at least the early 1990s.
