Hallmark Channel star Catherine Bell will make an appearance Tuesday at the National Cable Television Association shindig in LA before starting work on "The Good Witch" TV series based on her successful Hallmark movie franchise (the final movie in the series, "The Good Witch's Wonder," airs in late October).
Bell, who will star in and executive-produce the series — based on her Cassandra Nightingale character — says there's no word, yet, on casting, but that "many different storylines and scenarios" are being considered for the series, which starts shooting in late June in Toronto and is scheduled to premiere next February.
Hallmark Channel executive VP of TV, Michelle Vicary, says the series was a "no brainer," given the fact that the movies have averaged a robust 4 million viewers.
