More tax deadbeats are losing their driving privileges.
Licenses of 8,900 New York motorists have been suspended for failing to pay back taxes, Gov. Cuomo said.
In February, The Post reported that the DMV had yanked the licenses of 7,850 tax scofflaws.
"They either have to pay the taxes they owe or face real consequences," Cuomo said.
The crackdown is a result of a state law approved last year aimed at prodding delinquents owing more than $10,000 to pay up.
Scofflaws so far have coughed up $56 million — a 34 percent increase over initial estimates, officials said.
