Cops are looking for an attempted rapist who they say was scared off by a woman's screams in East Harlem.

The suspect followed the 34-year-old woman into an apartment building on Lexington Avenue near East 103rd Street, shoved her to the ground and tried to rape her around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police sources said.

The victim cried out, scaring the attacker, who ran away, cops added.

The woman was not injured and the suspect was caught on nearby surveillance cameras, according to police.

Staten Island

A man admitted pointing a gun at a busload of passengers riding through Mariner's Harbor, then getting off the bus and firing at it, authorities said.

Sean Landy, 19, told cops he had boarded the bus with a friend who then fought with several passengers just after midnight on Jan. 12, according to a Criminal Court complaint.

He said his friend was cut and he pointed his gun in self-defense, court records state.

He allegedly confessed: "It was my gun. I shot the bus. I thought he was gonna shoot us."


A Park Hill man has been charged with using stolen credit cards to rack up more than $2,300 in charges, authorities said.

David Moses used two TD Bank cards to buy just goods from Home Depot, Victoria's Secret, Foot Locker, GameStop and a hat store in the Staten Island Mall between Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, a Criminal Complaint charges.

Cops nabbed him after the credit card owner noticed the charges and video surveillance showed him making the purchases, records state.

When questioned, Moses, 29, allegedly confessed, "Yes that's me . . . I did all the transactions. I got the card from my girlfriend who found the card at her place of work."

He was charged with grand larceny, petit larceny and possession of stolen property.

The Bronx

A jealous ex busted down a woman's apartment door in Bronxwood, pulled a gun on her and threatened her for moving on with her life, authorities said.

Archie Dent, 29, was arguing with his ex-girlfriend on Bronx Park East around 1:55 a.m. on Jan. 3 when he forced the door open, breaking the chain lock and hitting her in the head, a Criminal Court complaint charges.

He then allegedly whipped out a pistol, pointed it at her, then waived it in the air, shouting, "Are you serious? Why are you acting like this? Getting out of some n—–'s car."

The victim suffered cuts, bumps and bruises, court documents state.

Dent was charged with burglary, menacing, trespass, assault, criminal mischief and harassment.


Three thieves beat and robbed a livery cab driver who asked them to pay upfront before taking them from the South Bronx to Harlem, authorities said.

Alex Forsyth, 24, Joseph Robertson, 27, and Charles Robertson, 25, jumped into a Lincoln Town Car at East 149th Street and Walton Avenue around 2:10 a.m. on Jan. 5 and asked to be taken to Harlem, a Criminal Court complaint charges.

The driver asked them to pay in advance and the trio refused, documents state.

The driver then ordered the men out of the car, but they remained inside, and began punching him and stole his cash, records state.

Before leaving, the attackers threatened to kill the driver, according to court papers.

The passengers were charged with assault, attempted robbery and harassment.


A mob of four to eight attackers jumped a man and beat him unconscious for a coat, boots and some cash in West Farms, authorities said.

Rashad Bellamy, 21, and several unidentified pals followed the victim into the lobby of a building on East 180th Street near Southern Boulevard around 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 11, a Criminal Court complaint states.

One member of the crew clocked the victim in the eye before his accomplices joined in and punched the man until he fell to the floor, records state.

The attackers then slashed the victim and kicked him until he lost consciousness.

When the victim awoke, he was missing $366, as well as his Timberland boots and a bubble jacket, court papers state.

Bellamy was arraigned on charges of assault, robbery, weapons possession and harassment.

The other attackers were still on the loose.

The victim was hospitalized with multiple cuts, bruises and lumps on his head, face and body. He required 23 staples and three stitches to bind his wounds.
