The Big Ten has LIU Brooklyn to blame.

Because the Blackbirds nearly stunned Indiana in Bloomington, the Hoosiers have won their past three games by an average of nearly 27 points, never looking better than in Thursday night's 102-84 dismantling of Washington in the semifinals of the 2K Classic at Madison Square Garden.

"Playing against [LIU] last week it looked like we hadn't ever played together offensively," Indiana coach Tom Crean said. "[But] tonight it looked like we've been playing together for awhile."

Indiana (5-0) will face No. 18 Connecticut in the title game on Friday night.

The Hoosiers shot 51.5 percent from the field and led wire-to-wire, opening the game on a 9-0 run and taking a 50-37 lead into halftime. The second-best rebounding team in the nation owned the glass, outrebounding Washington (2-2) 29-11 in the first half.

"We rebounded the ball, we got some baskets and we settled in," Crean said. "The rebounding, you really stand out on this team right now if you're not rebounding."

Freshman Troy Williams led the Hoosiers with 22 points — shooting 8-of-12 from the field — and eight rebounds, while Huskies guard C.J. Wilcox had a game-high 24, but hit only 2-of-10 3-pointers.
