Building super found stabbed in apartment

A superintendent was stabbed to death inside his Upper Manhattan apartment building, authorities said.

The 57-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was found unconscious inside his basement home on 76 Vermilyea Avenue in Inwood, around 8:45 a.m., Sunday, cops said. He suffered a stab wound to the neck and another to the chest, police sources said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the death may have been over a dispute with a tenant, although that's not confirmed.

It was not immediately clear whether there was forced entry into the six-story building between West 204th and Academy streets.

No arrests have been made.
