A Long Island snake merchant busted for housing 850 live serpents in his garage is also in trouble for keeping alligator carcasses in his freezer.
Richard Parrinello, 44, of Shirley, got a $250 ticket from New York wildlife managers for three little 'gator corpses he kept on ice at home, a state wildlife official said on Friday. The fine for his frosty reptile minis is on top of another $250 ticket for two illegal Burmese pythons that investigators seized on Thursday from Parrinello's Auborn Avenue home.
Parrinello stayed mum on Friday about the reptile bazaar he was running out of his house."There's no comment. Please leave my property," a man's voice shouted through the window. A "Notice" nailed to the garage shows a hand gripping a revolver, and reads, "Anyone found here at night will be found in the morning!!!"
Parrinello gets to keep his 848 lawful snakes — and his turtles, turtle eggs and spiders — at home until he and town officials work out a way to safely relocate the snakes, whether that's to an animal shelter or a proper place of business.

"Could he go rent a storefront somewhere and open Reptiles R Us? Absolutely," said David Moran, deputy town attorney for Brookhaven, which includes Shirley, in Suffolk County. Town officials are scheduled to meet in person with Parrinello on Monday.
A neighbor stuck up for him and his snakes.
"You're surprised, but it's not like something happened and it bit a kid," said Anna Toscano, 49, who's lived across the street from Parrinello for 31 years. "That's his business. If that's what he likes then who cares?"
Moran said Parrinello's snakes looked well cared for, and he can keep some as pets. But most will have to find new digs, and in an orderly, supervised manner. "Because God forbid — and he seems to be a responsible snake owner — we don't want him taking the snakes to a sump or a local habitat and just letting them go," said Moran.
