Dustin Hoffman treated for cancer, publicist says actor is 'surgically cured'

Two-time Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman is doing well after being successfully treated for cancer.

Hoffman's publicist Jodi Gottlieb has told people.com that the actor's cancer was detected early and has been 'surgically cured.'

'Dustin is feeling great and is in good health,' Gottlieb said on Tuesday.

She offered no other details.

The actor will reportedly undergo doctor-recommended preventative treatments to minimise the chance of a recurrence in years to come.
