That didn't take long.
A day after hero next-door neighbor Charles Ramsey captivated the world with his colorful account of rescuing a kidnapped woman in Cleveland, a YouTube comedy/music group have turned his narration into a song.
The Gregory Brothers — mixmasters who shot to fame for their "Bedroom Intruder Song" and "Backing Up" in 2010 — give Ramsey the Auto-Tune treatment in a video they uploaded to YouTube yesterday.
The latest song, in which the Brooklyn-based comedians put news interviews to music, and which as of 7:30 a.m. had been seen more than 156,000 times, hinges on Ramsey's most-noticed line: "I knew something was wrong when a pretty white girl ran into a black man's arms. Dead giveaway."
Ramsey on Monday famously heard Amanda Berry's cries for help from the Cleveland house where she had been kept prisoner and repeatedly raped for 10 years and helped her escape. Berry, 26, as well fellow captives Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus, and Berry's 6-year-old daughter, escaped the hell house after a decade of of rape and torture.
Ariel Castro, 52, and his brothers Pedro and Onil have been arrested in connection with the abductions, which took place between 2002 and 2004.
