Two teens are wanted for snatching jewelry from elderly women in the Bronx in broad daylight—even a 93-year-old victim, police said.
Police released this surveillance video yesterday that shows a man with short hair and a dark jacket approaching the nonagenarian in her Baychester driveway about 2:30 p.m. April 16, cops said. He ripped two gold chains from her neck, and then fled.
The duo began targeting elderly women in Baychester on April 10, and are wanted for five grand larcenies, cops said.
They started off with their youngest victim on April 10—but didn't have much luck. They approached a 55-year-old woman walking her dog about 4:35 p.m. on April 10 and tried to take a chain from her, but ended up scampering off with nothing.
The two then successfully robbed a 71-year-old on April 16, and a 62-year-old on April 17, cops said.
They struck again yesterday, asking a 61-year-old victim for directions and taking a chain from her neck shortly before 7 p.m., police said.
Police say the two thugs are between the ages of 16 and 19 years old, and that one has short, dark-colored hair.
