Man killed by train in Times Square

A man was struck and killed by a train this morning in Times Square, authorities said.

He was hit about 8:15 a.m. by the N train on 42nd Street and Broadway, according to an FDNY spokesman. He died at the scene.

Downtown N and R trains are bypassing the station, and are running express from 57th Street to Herald Square.
