Girl dead in early-morning Bronx fire: reports

A 7-year-old girl is dead and another child was seriously injured in an overnight Bronx fire, according to reports.

The fire started after 3 a.m. in an apartment building on Grant Avenue, near East 164th Street.

According to CBS2, the fire claimed at least one life, that of a young girl. Another child was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters spent hours fighting the fire.
