Felton hit: Block of ages

No one needed a degree in logic, nuclear physics or even animal husbandry to figure where the ball was going for Golden State with roughly a minute and a half left last night and the game tied. Stephen Curry had 54 points. Every other Warrior had 51. Figure it was going to Curry.

The Knicks, especially Raymond Felton, surely did.

"Everybody was yelling it out," said Felton, who came up with the biggest play of the game, blocking Curry before the Knicks went on to a thrilling 109-105 triumph at the Garden. "We ran that play at shootaround so we knew it was coming. Tyson [Chandler] was calling it out. The coaches were calling it out."

Heck, most of the folks in the 19,033 sellout were calling it out.

"Ray came up with a big play getting the block," Carmelo Anthony said.

After Felton made like Dikembe Mutombo, Curry said at was a moment he would like to have back. Off the block, the Knicks came down and got a J.R. Smith jumper for the lead they never relinquished. The Warriors didn't score again.

"It was a crunch-time shot, I tried to get open, he played good D," Curry said. "I had an angle on him to get the shot up and he stayed right there with me. Guys are going to make defensive plays. ... You can't do nothing about it. You'd like to have that one back, try to get a shot on the rim at least, but credit to him he played good defense."
