Sandwiched between those runaways was a fourth against a top-class field of older fillies and mares at Belmont Park. Her trainer, Nick Canani, is winning at a 20 percent clip this year.

ON TRUST HANDICAP

Hollywood Park, eighth race. Purse: $75,000. 7 1/2 furlongs, Cushion track, California-bred 3-year-olds and up. Post: 7:08 p.m.

LOWDOWN: Macho Dorado is 2-for-2 over this surface, both wins coming at today's distance. The 4-year-old gelding returned from a two-month layoff to run a close second as the favorite in a race on the Breeders' Cup undercard and figures to take step forward off that race.

MRS. REVERE

Churchill Downs, ninth race. Purse: $175,000. 1 1/16 miles, turf, 3-year-old fillies. Post: 8:36 p.m.

LOWDOWN: Centre Court will be a short price in here, but she is coming off a pair of second-place finishes on turf in the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth Cup and Grade 2 Lake Placid, and before that won the Grade 3 Regret and Grade 2 Lake George. The daughter of top turf sire Smart Strike is 2-for-2 over the Churchill turf.
