Bloomberg disclosed on his radio show today that he attended the Barbra Streisand concert last night at the newly-opened Barclay's Center, bypassing a thrilling playoff game wasn't decided until the 13th inning, when the Baltimore Orioles drove in a run to win 2-1.

"I'm not that big a fan," the mayor said.

It was a rare public admission by an elected official about a team that many fans here hold sacred.

But Bloomberg said he was following the game while the concert was underway.

He said he checked the score a couple of times on his mobile device and, in his SUV on the way home, clicked on an ESPN app that delivered "every pitch."

The mayor also weighed in on Yankee manager Joe Girardi's decision to put in a pinch hitter for slumping superstar slugger Alex Rodriguez.

"He's like a mayor," said Bloomberg of Girardi. "You make the decision, then you ride with it."

The mayor also won't be attending today's decisive fifth game later today at Yankee Stadium.

"I will be watching the game," he explained. "I've got something afterwards."
